Ned S. Crockett was born in Augusta, Maine. He earned a B.A. in Economics
from the University of Maine at Orono and a Master of Divinity from
Bangor Theological Seminary where he received the Hoyt Hickman Award
for outstanding liturgical scholarship and practice.
Pastor Ned has served churches in North Jay, North Vienna, and Skowhegan
before being appointed back to his home church in July of 2011. Ned
and his wife Melanie are thankful to back in the community they love
so much, “It’s nice to be home”. Ned has a passion for community involvement
and serves as a chaplain for the Winthrop Police Department, is a board
member of the Winthrop Hot Meals Kitchen and also serves as a chaplain
for MaineGeneral Medical Center.
Pastor Ned also lives out his passion for mission through his position
as Director of Missions at Camp Mechuwana (United Methodist Camp) where
he helps coordinate mission’s teams from around the country with projects
in the Central Maine area.
On his own time, Pastor Ned likes spending time with his wife Melanie,
and time in the North Maine Woods (where he has a cabin) fly fishing
Ned and Melanie have two grown children, Sarah and Stephen.

Michelle Chick directs both the Adult Choir and the Children's LIGHT
earned her Bachelors of Music in Music Education from the University
of Maine with a concentration in voice. While at UMO she had the honor
of serving as the assistant conductor for the University Singers and
Athena Consort. She currently teaches K-6 music at Greene Central School.
Michelle lives in Monmouth with her husband Jim and their two miniature
dachshunds Odie and Bruin.
