(1) To learn about the hopes, needs and concerns of people in the community and how they might relate to the outreach ministry of our church.
(2) To become familiar with the overall goals of the congregation, how these relate to outreach ministries, and how the Outreach Team might extend the goals of the congregation.
(3) To plan, coordinate, carry out and evaluate the congregation's local outreach ministries for Christian unity and interreligious concerns, community volunteers, missions, food bank, religion and race, health and welfare ministries, status and role of women, etc.
(4) To cooperate in ministries and programs with other United Methodist congregations and with congregations of other denominations.
(5) To link with organizations, people and resources of the congregation and community that share hopes and concerns related to outreach ministries.
(6) To support the work and goals of the church council.
(2) To participate in and represent the Outreach Team at meetings of Council on Ministries.
(3) To participate in training experiences when they are available.
(4) To learn about and become involved in current issues that affect people's lives in our community and around the world.
(5) To be accountable to the Charge Conference through the Council on Ministries and the Church Council.
