CHILDREN AND YOUTH PROGRAMS

During worship we offer nursery care for the youngest members of our church family. Also during worship, following a special time with the pastor, children through second grade are invited to participate in Arktivites, where they do crafts and other activities, if they wish.

Following church and coffee café, children 3 years old through fifth grade gather in the sanctuary for music and a story before going to Sunday school classes. Our lectionary-based curriculum "Whole People of God" builds on the children's church experience.

Children share their music with our church family as a children's choir, practicing Wednesdays after school and singing (usually) once a month during worship.

Youth from sixth through twelfth grade meet twice monthly for fun and community service. Information on their schedule and activities is available through the church office or Winthrop Youth Group on Facebook.

We offer vacation Bible school, usually during the summer, but this year also during the February and April school vacations. The February focus is "Shake It Up Café" and bases the music, crafts, Bible stories, discovery time, and mission activities around festivals and food in the Bible. There is no charge for attending.

ADULT STUDY PROGRAMS

Adult study is a series of modules with a variety of topics. Sunday mornings from January until Lent adults are studying Corinthians, using their Bibles as texts. Our well-equipped nursery is staffed by 2 adults during Sunday morning worship and education times, as well as during other special events and services.

Several other groups meet during the week to share in faith-building and nurturing studies:
Wednesday morning's Lectionary Study uses Disciplines, a Book of Daily Devotions.

A Thursday afternoon group is studying Beth Moore's Esther: It's Tough Being a Woman.

Dawn Patrol meets at 6 a.m. on Fridays.
For more information about Adult Study classes, or any of these small groups, please contact the church office via email or by calling 377-8620.
