(1) To coordinate the planning and implementation of a comprehensive Christian education ministry for our congregation and community.
(2) To provide and promote learning experiences for people of all ages so that all may grow in understanding the Gospel and become better equipped for daily living as faithful Christian disciples.
(3) To develop and carry out programs for growth in the devotional life of the congregation and for distribution of devotional resources.
(4) To nominate people to serve as teachers and educators.
(5) To be familiar with the overall goals of the congregation, how these relate to its educational programs, and how those goals may be extended.
(6) To facilitate the use of United Methodist curriculum resources.
(7) To learn about and promote educational opportunities useful to people of all ages, both in our congregation and in the neighboring community.
(8) To link with organizations, people and resources in and beyond the congregation that are concerned about Christian education.
(9) To assure that people of all ages have opportunities to consider their vocation as Christians and their opportunities to express such vocation in careers and occupations.
(10) To support the goals of the church council.
(1) Is responsible for guiding the work of the team throughout the year, planning agendas and presiding at meetings.
(2) To keep our congregation informed about the educational needs of people, the goals of Christian education, and the resources available to help our congregation reach these goals.
(3) To keep the Council on Ministries aware of sound educational procedures and resources.
(4) To participate in training experiences that are related to Christian education.
(5) To take part in and represent the concerns of Christian education on the Council on Ministries.
(6) To be accountable to the Charge Conference through the Council on Ministries and Church Council.
